Ôn tập thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (Present Continuous Tense) được dùng để diễn tả hành động/sự việc xảy ra lúc đang nói hay xung quanh thời điểm nói. Hành động/sự việc đó vẫn chưa chấm dứt, còn tiếp tục diễn ra.

Công thức thì HTTD

Công thức thì hiện tại tiếp diễn được thành 4 dạng: Câu khẳng định, phủ định, nghi vấn và câu có từ để hỏi (Wh-)

8 Cách dùng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Để phân biệt thì HTTD với các thì trong tiếng Anh khác, bạn cần ghi nhớ 8 cách sử dụng như sau:

Để nhận biết thì hiện tại tiếp diễn, bạn sẽ quan sát thấy trong câu có xuất hiện:

• Các trạng từ chỉ thời gian như now, right now, at present, at the moment, at + mốc thời gian cụ thể (at 7 o’clock).

• Các động từ đặc biệt: Look!, Watch!, Listen!, Keep silent!, Watch out!, Look out!

Cách chia động từ thì HTTD

Khi thêm “-ing” cho động từ trong thì HTTD, bạn cần nhớ 4 quy tắc và một số động từ không có dạng tiếp diễn dưới đây:

Cách thêm “ing” cho động từ

Thêm đuôi “-ing” vào sau động từ. Tuy nhiên, cần chú ý một số trường hợp sau:

• Động từ có tận cùng là 1 chữ “e”: Bỏ “e” rồi thêm “-ing”. Ví dụ: write – writing, come – coming, type – typing.

• Động từ có tận cùng là 2 chữ “e”: Không bỏ “e” mà vẫn thêm “-ing” bình thường. Ví dụ: see – seeing.

• Động từ có 1 âm tiết, tận cùng là 1 phụ âm, phía trước phụ âm là 1 nguyên âm: Nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm “-ing”. Ví dụ: get – getting, stop – stopping, put – putting.

• Động từ có tận cùng là “ie”: Đổi “ie” thành “y” rồi thêm “-ing”. Ví dụ: die – dying, lie- lying.
